Now THAT is a big surprise for me!

Judging from the size of the door handles, this must have been a huge piece of quite attractive iron...

Looking the high quality of the body I think that is an Henri Chapron work, I haven't found the list of 24 brands bodied by Chapron and Laffly is included on it.

Sorry Paul,
you still have too many points for this puzzle, as it is reserved for pros with less than 400 points.

Well, there seems to be a different understanding of the term "lock". In my usage, a lock restricts the answering possibility to one special person. When I unlock, it is open to the same group of people as before the lock (Rookies, Rookies and Experts, puzzlers with less than 400 points, all puzzlers). When I lift the sub-400 limit, I definitely say so, e.g. "Open for all now". An unlocking on the Expert board wouldn't open the puzzle to pros either.

Not them, less known I'd say, but not obscure.

I've followed grobmotorix' example and added a "MAX 400" to the title of those pro puzzles that are not eligible for senior pros.

I was sleeping when Paul answered so I don't know if he had the right answer or not.
In any case, I have this as a 1929 Laffly with body by Meulemeester.

Bill
