What is being built here, and who is doing the building?

The front looks as if it might be the beginnings of a mid 1930s streamlined BMW 328 Coupe by Wendler but the rest of the car doesn't - the rear looks more like a station wagon.

The car is from the 1930s.

No connection to BMW, Wendler, or Germany.

I know the context. If I don't get the model well, please lock it for me.

It's a Hispano Suiza CNT?

LOCKED for staulan

The car is a Hispano-Suiza.  The photo shows it being constructed by CNT.

If possible, provide the model of Hispano-Suiza, and the name given to the completed vehicle.

Tiznao is the name generally given to the improvised armored cars. This particular model was built in Barcelona by the republican forces. My source says the basis is Hispano Suiza modelo 60. I couldn't find any name, probably because it wasn't a success (2 cars produced); the same factories produced a much more refined model (who has a name!), based on a HS truck, but neither this coped much better.

One point to staulan for the correct answer.

When I found the puzzle image, and the image you posted, I figured it would make a good puzzle.  I learned a lot about the Spanish Civil War because of this puzzle.
