No thrills, no frills, no idea what it is?

For one point, please respond and identify this car.

I think it does : I have the exact same pictures in a book at home and it says 'Reliant Model 70'!

Unfortunatly, I have no more information at the moment, but I'll look it up when I get home ...

That is interesting. I have a different manufacturer. Perhaps Reliant developped it for the other one? I'm eager to hear from you.

According to my information (it's not alot), there's were 3 Reliant-prototypes developed in the beginning of the seventies with a Steyr-Puch engine, called the Model 70. The first one, a threewheeler, was later donated to a retiring Chief Designer. The second one (a threewheeler and basicly the same car as the first one, but with round headlamps) and the third one (a fourwheeler with round headlamps AND the car in your photo) was later used for little runabouts in the factory. The whereabouts of the 3 cars are unknown ...

Amazing, I agree to the Steyr-Puch engine and the three prototypes based on a "Model 70", but still have a different manufacturer. I could imagine that Reliant was involved. Locked for you to find the manufacturer I have. If we are talking about the same three prototypes, one of them can be found in one of my former puzzles.

It doesn't say the exact manufacturer in the info I have (although it is exactly the same picture) ; all I have is "AC Town Car" from 1971-1972 (the first prototype has numberplate KPA185K), but no manufacturer ... Oh, and the retiring chief designer was J. C. Reardon, who had previously worked for rival carriage maker Stanley Engineering in Egham.

The first one (KPA185K) has been in a puzzle before: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=16004.0 (nr. 30)

That all I have, so I can't give you more info on this one ...

AC was the manufacturer I found this car labeled at.

One point for you, and I learned of the Reliant connection.  :)

There's also a resemblance to the Israeli Sussita - add a boot and squint a bit
