Two-tone paintwork always catches attention.

For one point, please respond and identify car and coachbuilder.

Interesting! I had another identification, but looking further into books and sites, I'm quite sure that you are right. One well-known source had it as an Abadal by Rothschild, probably because the radiator is similar, but their stand looked different (see below). There is an existing Gobron-Brillié with a very similar Rothschild body and a diffuse history. I'm not sure whether it is the same car, as there are quite a few differences. In the puzzle picture, you can see the beginning of the Gobron sign at the upper right corner of the picture. Another view of the stand, but not the car:

The "G" sign next to the "Charron" sign, was what solved it for me.  It looked like the Paris Salon, and the puzzle car looked like a Labourdette Skiff, meaning it was 1912 or later.  An image search for "Paris Salon 1912" provided your above "Gobron" image.

If you look closely at the currently showing, restored G-B by Rothschild, you can see it may be the same car.  Behind the side-mount spare, is the small circle on the front part of the boat section of the puzzle car.  I also found an indication, that the fenders/running boards were remodeled during the 1920's, leading to the current look.
