This IS Autopuzzles and things are seldom what they seem to be, but I suppose we'd better get one thing out of the way, just in case: Is it an Aston Martin? ???

It wasn't built by Aston Martin, no!

As I'm still under 400 points (by one!), I guess I can try this one, so could this be the third-scale Aston martin DB9 made by Pocket Classics in the UK?

You're on the right track there in that it is indeed a child's Aston DB9.
I have another name for the maker though.
Locked for you until your next reply.

Thanks for the Lock Carnut.  If it's not the Pocket Classics shrunken DB9, then it must be the Bespoke Impact Roadster, made by the company that also make the Atom, a motorised child's car that you had us all scratching our head's about in the Blackhole section a few years ago I seem to recall.

That was NEH3633 and it was solved at Pro level.

Congratulations for your soon-to-come 400th point and welcome to purgatory !

Well done Djetset, that's the right answer.
So it's good luck and bad luck because you've reached that 400 points milestone to make life even harder than it was before...!

Golly, life will never be quite the same again!

At least I will now be able to spend more time away from AP, using the time to wrie the books I've started but never finished, learn to play the flute, save for an Alfa SZ, etc, etc... ???

Or maybe I'll up the hgiher limit to 450 pts since it's not a hard and fast rule...
