Well done nicanary!
Even with the answer I still haven't been able to find this on the 'Net.
I'd love to know who built it..

I'm sure you've all looked in Georgano, since he often includes one-offs if they were intended for production, but of course there's no mention of this car. I have posted a question in the "Research" thread of a well-known Nostalgic forum, but so far there has been no response. A photo would be helpful for them, but the image-posting on that site is notoriously difficult to follow, and I can't manage it with my childlike internet skills.

I've looked in Georgano's, in a couple of books by Hodges and in Bolster's one...
That's a good idea, to ask in other forums now, I can't add more and I'm sure there's someone who'll know the rest of its story.

There is someone on another forum who knows more about this car, but he's not revealing it yet ...

The puzzle car wasn't the only 'Meteor' sold by Competition Cars!:

You are right!  :o
I wonder how did I miss that!
Is it possible that Competition Cars built those Meteors?
I really hope the guy who post it in the other forum will get back soon with more...

No news from that other website, perhaps you could post a gentle reminder there, Quiller?

Ok, point for Carnut who found the 2 ads of this car and for nicanary, who found the name.
I'll call them 'Meteor' by Competition Cars.

I've just found oiut they only built 2 cars, the little 500cc puzzle car and the other 1172 Ford Wade supercharged sports car. The small car was based on an invalid carriage frame! Bodies were built in-house.
