Thank you for the point, it makes me feel rather awkward, because I'm not sure I understand why neither als15 nor Paul Jaray answered.
This puzzle was not easy for me, I didn't know the answer, I had to search and I couldn't find it on the Internet, once more I had to go to the good old books, but I have answered puzzles that have been very easy for me and I don't see anything wrong with that.

als15 didn't answer because he recently published a book "Vignale - Ferrari and all the other cars" - which he knew was the source of my information (as I wrote the English version for him), so he kindly stepped aside as he very obviously knew the answer, meaning it wasn't a puzzle for him.
PJ also kindly held off as he's probably read the book very recently!
There's nothing at all wrong with getting your answers from old books; any source of information you have is absolutely valid but I must say I have a vast automobile library and rarely know where to even start looking for the answers to any puzzles!  They're all easier if you have an idea of the answer but if not there just wouldn't be enough hours in the day!

The original coupé was attributed to Michelotti but the job of designing and engineering the roof chop was carried out by Alfredo Vignale's nephew Alfredo Zanellato.

I added a line to my post.
Alfredo Zanellato is Alfredo Vignale's nephew and he spent all his childhood and formative years in the company of his uncle; so much so that he was more like a father to him (since Vignale never married he was the nearest he would ever have to a son).  After his national service and some time as an apprentice (I think it was at Michelotti's newly independent design studio) he went to work for Carrozzeria Vignale where this job was one his first.
You'll have to read Alessandro Sannia's book!  It's well worth your time.
I'm not sure whether Vignale was actually part of his name originally or if he added it later in honour of his uncle.

That's a good point and I have a feeling you're right.  I'll have to investigate it.
If that was the case then it would appear Michelotti was not involved in the design..

The spider was the first and Michelotti was no longer cooperating with Vignale for almost 4 years, so absolutely no connection with Michelotti for this car. It is totally a design of Vignale's nephew Alfredo Zanellato.

Alfredo Zanellato is used to adding Vignale to his name (actually, is the surname of his mother, the sister of Alfredo Vignale) in honour of his uncle.

You are right, it was not easy at all.
I left it only because als15 wrote a book about Vignale and I had a copy.
I knew Carnut wrote the english version of it and It was easy to assume he found there this little known info.
I just followed als15 example...if it was too easy for him, after a quick look into the book, it was also easy for myself.
...and furthermore, I know how much Carnut dedicates himself in new puzzles each time (and how he is not pleased with extra-quick identifications  ) and for just one time, I decided to pass.
