A milestone - my 500th puzzle. The problem is, the photo comes from a webpage in a foreign (to me) language, and I'm not too sure what it says. I think I understand the general meaning of the text - so, what is this car?

Great milestone!
You need Google translate.. I have my computer set to automatically translate certain languages (like Russian and Japanese) so the website I visit always appears in English..

As I suspected - you are in fact under 10 years old ;D

If only. I wasn't trying to be rude, just a reference to the undeniable fact that kids are sooooo adept at IT, it makes me ashamed.

I got it!

That's a lot of puzzles and you can still offer things I feel I should know, unlike most of the rest ::).
As is often the case, I wonder if I will have this one sorted out by the time I'm allowed to answer.

Happy New year !
I've no reason for thinking this, but could it be a Diatto ?

Happy New Year to you too. (I've just been watching a Youtube video of a guy filming his paraglide flight over Kirkistown, taking in Ballyhalbert and Portavogie. It was to do with the old WW2 airfields. Very picturesque.)
Sadly, not a Diatto.

The continent holds the answer.

To the Pros - only those Pros with 400 points or less.

"Prototipo" Whippet-6 (1929) made in Argentina
I guessed you might be the solver of this puzzle!
I assume this is a car based on a Whippet 6, which had formerly been the Overland. It was driven by Raul Riganti at the time of this photo. It must have been a very narrow body, because there is a huge "stagger" between the driver's and mechanic's seats.
One more point to you.

Picture shows the proud mechanics that built this car for Argentina's "Fuerza Libre" category. Standing in the middle with dark suit is Raul Riganti, but he wasn't the driver. This car was driven to fifth place by Ernesto Bossola at the "V Premio Audax" in the Province of Córdoba in 1929, the race was won by Carlos Zatuszek in his Mercedes SSK.

Thanks. I'll change the title.
