Correct on all 3 counts - it was indeed the 1951 British GP meeting.

I wonder if he had a bar of chocolate for lunch?

Redmond did indeed comission the car , designed by Nick Flynn ,assisting in the construction Tommy Doyle and George Reddy

Good point Shamrock - my question asked who built it? I was actually looking for Gallagher's name, but as you say he didn't design or build it. I didn't word the puzzle very well. Thanks for the additional info.
