Quite so.
I've also seen it called a 'Droop Snoot' but I doubt very much whether it was called that in period..

No glory for Jaguar however! Not their finest hour. The blame is often placed on Stirling Moss who spooked the Jaguar management with his reports of the speed of the Mercedes opposition. But they didn't have to do anything, and almost certainly would have won the race if they hadn't - the outdated Talbot of Levegh kept the German team at bay for nigh on 23 hours.
