Or an act of heresy

Ash and cloth bodied 1930 Rolls Royce 20/25 two seat open top tourer (chassis GSR50). Originally fitted with a Sedanca de Ville body by French Carrosserie Jansen, it was later rebodied as a hearse before being acquired as a rolling chassis in 2010. Since then it’s undergone a complete engine rebuild, rewire, and has been fitted with an overdrive unit. Afterwards it’s said to have been used for long distance continental touring, a good indication of a dialed-in and well-sorted car. Inspiration for its minimal bodywork came from the 1911 Silver Ghost special “The Sluggard”, which achieved 101 MPH along Brooklands.

I'm sure you've got the right car there as it is a 1930 20/25 and it was used as a hearse at one time.
This body is quite recent after it was stored for many years in a barn.
But you still haven't given me the name with which it's been christened, so I'll lock it for you to do so.

Lady Eleanor
But please in future make sure your question is clear, you initialt asked: "What's this, from when"
Well it's a "Cloth bodied 1930 Rolls Royce 20/25 two seat open top tourer" next time also request "Nick name" in your initial question.

Thanks for your advice Mogul.  I'll bear it in mind for the future, though I must say no-one has complained about my questioning for the past 7 years..
When answering puzzles you need to give all the information that's relevant, and the name (whether official or a nickname - which this car has had since it had this particular body) is essential, especially in view of my questions:

but what's it called?!

But you still haven't given me the name with which it's been christened, so I'll lock it for you to do so.
