could this be a Lister?
i've seen this car somewhere try my luck with Osca?
maybe AC ?
it ran at the 24 hours of Le Mans 1958 AC ACE
AC ACE LM the same car had n 28 finished 8th driven by Bolton and Stoop powered by a Bristol 2 litre engine
AC ACE LM Bristol
Tojeiro Climax?? ORIGINALLY
It's LM5000, the AC Ace LM Prototype - 100D2 Bristol-engined, Tojeiro space frame, body by Cavendish Morton, registered 8FPK. Apparently actually registered as an "Ace le Mans" if that's what you're after.
This car used to appear in club races a couple of decades ago, entered as A.C. Ace Le Mans (which is what it is registerd as) and the owner liked us to allocate it comp. no. 28 if we could.
At Le Mans in 1958 there were no separate GT classes so homologation is irrelevant. This car was entered as a sports prototype by AC Cars who called it an AC Ace Le Mans. Whether it bore any resemblance to the production Ace is immaterial, the maker said it was an AC Ace Le Mans. Surely the name the maker gives a car is its correct name.
