This is the Globe Battery "Maxima", an electric car from around 1980 based upon a 1978 Mercury Zephyr station wagon.

That's the car but the date you have provided is earlier by a few years than I have.
Locked for you to come up with the correct year (within a year either way)

This exact car was featured under the Maxima name on page 48 of World Cars 1981, published by Automobile Club of Italy/Herald Books in early 1981. I have the book in my hand. The car is certainly no later than a 1981.

Tonyola apologies, the car is from 1980.
I had originally taken it from a later edition of World Cars an not checked the earlier editions.

It could be a cortina but I think it looks too large for one

It is based on a Ford, but not a UK Ford.

It was based on a US model Ford Fairmont Station Wagon.
