I'd be surprised if it was a wheel short looking at the size of the thing, but this is the only picture I've been able to find and it doesn't say much about the car apart from who built it and when. So I can't be absolutely sure but I'd say it had 4 wheels.

Indeed it is a US custom jobbie, but the picture didn't come from a Facebook page.

1951 Nash Ambassador underneath? Front mudguards, bumper and even somewhat modified grille are from a Nash.
