#3 is Jack Crabbs' 1948 Buick Roadmaster called "Black Flame". The body was sectioned 4 inches, channeled 3 inches and the top was chopped 4 inches, which adds to an 11-inch lowered appearance. Jack's intent was to build and market a low scale production custom car for wealthy people, like the Kurtis Cad and the Muntz of the same time. When he tried to obtain permission from GM he was told that no matter what he did the car was initially a Buick, and the permission was denied.

The Black Flame was for sale last years as a dilapidated 'barn find'. Here are some pics of the car in its glory days

Great to see this solved after four years, especially #3. I spent hours looking for that one, but never found it.
