I.m astonished that this car has never been a puzzle! Please tell me what it is, and who built it?

Leyland Eight

Yes, as simple as that. I'm quite surprised this hasn't been a previous puzzle, it's a very striking car.

However, it's not just any Leyland Eight - this car is a bit different. Who built it? LOCKED.

I believe constructed by Parry Thomas from parts after he had left Leyland

You are correct in that the car was constructed after production had finished, but it was nothing to do with Parry Thomas according to my source. This is the sole surviving car, and was built by someone else, I'll keep it locked for you for another 24 hours.

Thomson & Taylor?

Yes! Apparently this is a car built in 1927 by Thomson & Taylor from parts left over after production ceased.

One point to you.
