So far I found several cars with a similar design.
It's not the Benz or the Laurin & Klement.
Is it an Horch?

I have it as a Dürkopp, shown in 1911 in Berlin.

I know other very comparable bodies from Fafnir, Horch Windhoff and Laurin & Klement, but have problems with the coachbuilder.

Maybe it was Armbruster.

EDIT: WRONG FRONT ROOF LINE / WRONG COOLER MASK...  :P

Horch was my guess and 'Horch 1911' was the file I posted as a proof.

I now realise the correct answer was 'Body by Hornig'.

It was safe to assume I did not know the coachbuilder, but you took for granted Wendax knew it was a '11 Horch.
I can only say that when I saw the pic I thought immediately at Hornig's Benz and LK, and I wrote those 2 models but not the Coachbuilder.

I can't say I understand or share your opinion, but that's your puzzle.

Sorry but I don't have had time to lock after your answer, and later I didn't know how to make!
That is a collective answer and 1 point for each !  :)

Don't worry...I understand it.
I try to avoid this writing what I need for the point.
If I just write 'what is this', I will consider it solved when someone will prove me he knows it...even if it's not complete or slighlty wrong.
If nobody knows it and they get there thanks to my clues, I'll add that I won't lock it for just a lucky guess on the name and specify what will be the info required.
If someone complete the answer or post the right one right after what I consider to be a nearly correct one, I take for granted that if he made 99% he probably can fix the missing 1% and award the point to the nearly correct one.
..but that's just my personal way to run my puzzles.
For this one I browsed hundreds of pages of a certain magazine to identify the (one I thought it was the) correct model... it was frustrating to see it gone just because I forgot to add the coachbuilder (that was not required) also because it was the starting point for my search: Hornig's Benz is pretty much the same than this!

That is a collective answer and 1 point for each !  :)
That's the best solution in this case.  :)
As Paul said, it helps to define what the point is granted for. I didn't know whether the coachbuilder was asked for or not, but I knew from my Hornig book that many similar "egg" bodies were made by them. But this car is not included in the book, and Hornig wasn't the only coachbuilder doing these bodies. So I asked whether this is a Hornig one, too. And that had nothing to do with nicking points, Paul.

PS. I knew it was a Horch without your post, but you posted while I was looking for the model. When I saw you had posted your Horch guess, I resigned from posting the model.  ;)
BTW, Schrader has it as a 1914 Horch 18/50 PS.

Well, the Schrader picture seems to be another car, the rear door hinges differ.

In Ch. Suhr's case, it is a Lindner body from 1911, presented at the Berlin Motor Show.
Ein Henschel zieht am Berg und ein Mercedes
an den Türen. (and an attempt of a translation):
A Henschel in rushing up the hill, wheras in a Mercedes wind is rushing through the doors. c/o norberthanke
