Hi, I think the car is a Rochdale Olympic, probably phase 1, from the early 1960s.
Not sure about the purpose, but the Olympic was an early glass fibre monocoque, like the Lotus Elite.

It's a Rochdale body all right but again, since this is AutoPuzzles, that's far from the answer I'm looking for!

I doubt whether they actually made any and suspect the picture used was of a UK Oympic Phase II...
