Streamline is important.

For one point, please respond and identify this vehicle.

1950 nipper milk float. it had a 500cc engine and I saw this one - probably the only one left - at the NEC in Birmingham a few weeks ago at the Classic car show.

Well done!

Well well - Northern Dairies was a very big company local to where I live in Hull (although they moved to Leeds when the council knocked down their building - one of the tallest in Hull - to build a new shopping centre..)

We all had their milk delivered, but I never knew they actually designed and built any vehicles (and my uncle was a senior manager there before they moved him to be the Area Manager for the North East, in Middlesbrough..)

The vehicle in the B&W photo has a Hull registration dating from about 1950 or 1951.

I must admit I was quite impressed with this machine - totally impractical for anything except local deliveries and not ideal for that apparently but the care that had gone into the restoration was great and it was so unusual. Just couldn't see me commuting to the office on it..

You could always get a job as a milkman if you wanted to use it!
