I must be missing something but it looks like a straightforward Jensen 541S of 1961 to my agéd eyes.

Jensen 541 Mk2, also referred to as the CV8 ' missing link ' from 1962. The photo was actually an April Fool published on the official Jensen Owners Club website

It's No to Hiawatha, Mogul and Allan L but it is exactly what studhamsmudger says it is!
If you look closely it's a 541 front end mated to a C-V8 rear and was photo-shopped claiming to be the 1962 C-V8 prototype for the JOC club magazine as an April Fool joke as studham says, in 2012.
Sorry it wasn't a real car but I thought it was well done and would make for a bit of head-scratching.
And bad luck nicanary but it was never going to reach the Pro's...
Fyreline might be right too but that's a new piece of information to me.
