So far as I recall this car was built in the USofA as a towing vehicle for a glider - not so much a glider in a trailer as normal but to actually tow-launch the glider.
Its history includes being in Rhodesia and the UofSA before coming back to UK.
Oh and it's originally a 1927 Rolls-Royce 20 h.p.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

That's absolutely right, yes.
I don't know who physically bodied it but I just need to know who it was built for to earn the point, so it's locked for you to complete.

There's a website that names the owner for whom it was built as Alan Bemis, but I have no idea if that's right. I know a man who might know, if it comes to a dispute!
Here's another view (from that site):

This car was designed and built for Bemis by Tekton Inc. of Boston, Mass.
Tekton was the brainchild of Peter Kilham, who invented the tubular bird feeder, and primarily sold garden furniture of his own design. Kilham was a friend of Bemis, hence why he got the job. I'd be interested to know if Tekton ever built another car but I'd guess it is fairly unlikely
