Struggled with this, but learned a lot about Cooper Streamliners in the process! This was one of the original alloy bodied streamliners bought into the US for record breaking purposes. There were 2 or 3 of them, and later a number of other cooper 500s were converted using fiberglass replica bodies. The word 'Pooper' was indiscriminately used to describe them all, but the true Pooper was built from a streamliner and raced by the late Pete Lovely. It looked similar to the Corazza Cooper Porsche but did not have the RS engine of the latter. I cannot imagine he built the pair, but I just cannot find a reference as to who did. Please open it up.
