I have it as something different, but of course as is often the case with such things different people might call them different things...

the mars coupe was a custom car   from rock island  Illinois,by frank young,I think the year was 1960?

Ok, well that's not it as this one is from much earlier than 1960, and it's not from Illinois AFAIK.

sorry,you were right it was known as the batmobile,and it was displayed at rock island Illinois,was owned by frank young.I couldn,t find the year though?

Yes, that's right.
I believe the picture I've used was taken when the car was displayed at an event in Iowa, something to do with big fins!
I suppose that isn't far away from Illinois so it could well have been owned by Frank Young, but I don't know.

Just about close enough; actually I have it as 1948.
The photo was taken at the Tail Fin Auto Show in Des Moines, Iowa, but I don't know when.
