No from Oz..

Maserati replica?

Sorry - it's not a replica but is actually a Maserati, contrary to what I said before, but I'm not sure which model it is; it might well be a 450S.
It is from around 1956 and it's possible Fantuzzi was involved, but I'm actually looking for the coachbuilder who is working on it in the picture (I understood they were building it, which was the point of my puzzle), possibly under sub-contract from Fantuzzi.  Since you've got the major part of what it is I'll lock it for you until your next reply now to see if you can solve it.

Ok, thanks, I was surprized by you initial reply, I was pretty sure that I recognised a "blured" Trident!
I know that the car has probably during it's history been repared in Modena by the shop of Leoni. Is this what your looking for?

I originally thought it was something else but it didn't really look right so reading between the lines I think I've deciphered the information I've told you so far.

It's not Leoni, no, and the coachbuilder is not situated in Modena.
Still locked for you.

It's not the first time this happens, but clearly the initial question was "What's this and who built it". On my initial reply you stated it's not a Maserati! Now you say it is a Maserati but you don't know exactly what type.....
I  tell you so much, I'm certain it's a Maserati around 1955/56 built by Fantuzzi, the model could be a 350 or a 450 but based on the air intake visible on the picture it's a 450.
I don't understand that you post the question "What's this and who built it" without knowing the reply. You can unlock it. I'm not going on a wilde goose chase to coachbuilder who is working on it in the picture.

I posted the puzzle in good faith thinking I had the information, but sometimes it can be very hard to get to the bottom of what it says on some of these translated websites.  I knew what I wanted when I posted it and thought I had asked for it but (annoyingly) subsequently found out that in fact I wanted something slightly different.

If you want a very easy puzzle (Fantuzzi Maserati 450S would really be a bit too easy for AutoPuzzles) then fair enough, but the idea of AP is generally to post head-scratchers, which is what I intended to do and what I genuinely thought I had done.  It is still a head-scratcher, but if you don't want to take part in difficult-to-answer puzzles that's your choice. I think they're a lot more fun than easy ones, but obviously not everyone agrees.  And AP is about having fun, not just about garnering points..

I try hard to find out the info before posting but sometimes it doesn't quite work out like that.  You try posting puzzles and see how you get on..

Yes, I've seen it and have posted an answer.
I try hard to manage my puzzles properly but as I said sometimes new information comes to light which rather negates my original question, so rather than waste the puzzle to an easy answer I change what I want so that I still get the answer I originally wanted.  I'm sorry it's annoying but it's all in the pursuit of fun and a good puzzle..

I suppose it depends on what exactly is being worked on, body or the engine. Is it an engine tuner - Conrero?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Not Drogo, no.
I'm not entirely sure when the picture was taken, but I suspect in the 21st century.
