To earn your point, provide the year and make of the chassis, and describe the origins of this coupe body.

Well I need a copy of John Fasal & Bryan Goodman: "The Edwardian Rolls-Royce" but have no access to one these days.
It's a 40-50 Rolls-Royce, but who did that to it I do not know. I'd say it was a 1920's rebody of a pre-war chassis.

LOCKED briefly for Allan L.  The image is definitely from "The Edwardian Rolls-Royce".  The car may be referred to as a "Silver Ghost", but I believe the correct term is "40-50HP".

Thanks, but as I can't access that book I can't really get any further so please unlock.
There's a meeting of the SAHB tomorrow were I might have met Bryan Goodman but I can't go to it, so can't ask him!

Coachbuilder is of unknown origin.

LOCKED for Otto Puzzell

We know the car is a Rolls-Royce of a certain age.  Even at the low resolution of the picture from The Edwardian Rolls-Royce book, you might be able to ascertain the brand name of the vehicle that provided the donor coupe body.  And that would be enough to earn a point, and end this puzzle.

I was hoping to find more information about the car.  The Edwardian page does seem to describe the owner of this Rolls-Royce, but not the builder.

I guess Otto wants to keep his score so that it fits his avatar, and he doesn't like the Volvo 445 wagon.  ;D
The body was previously fitted to a Minerva.

And the point goes to Wendax, who finished providing all the information I have on this car.

The puzzle car is a 1908 Rolls-Royce 40/50HP.  The coupe body was previously on a Minerva chassis from before 1915.  From the style of the coupe body, it may be newer than the Minerva chassis.

The two images of this body which I have, came out of the Edwardian Rolls-Royce book.  I don't have that book, I found these images online, and can no longer find my source.

Here is the body on the Minerva chassis:

Thanks! It certainly looked better on the Minerva.
