I know what the formula is. Is the car British?

I'm sorry, I can't confirm that's British because I have no informations about this builder.

It took me a lot of investigation - the car is pictured at the 2013 Oldtimer GP at the Nurburgring. I had to go through race results and check the number on the car!

It's an MRC22 Formula Junior. The formula is easy, because that air intake and exhaust is unmistakeably Ford Anglia. The MRC was from Australia, and was a product of Bob Britton who built the Rennmax cars - it was a very slightly (if at all) modified Lotus 22, and was always entered as an MRC-Ford even though the Lotus badge was still on the nose cone!

PS the car is dated 1963. It's not the Nurburgring - your photo was taken at Jerez. I got confused because the cars in that championship kept the same race numbers through the season.

Ouawwww, you impress me. It seems to me that you spent a lot of time all the same for this puzzle, but you remain one of the best on autopuzzle to find racing cars. Another good point to win for you

Thank you Bertrand. It is easy if you know which websites to look through  ;). I have my sources and I'm not letting anybody else know, although you need some general knowledge of racing to start you off.

I was going to suggest a slightly modified Lotus but you had already guessed some other makes and even asked if it were British, so I reasoned it wasn't that simple!
Well done!
