That is correct. This was a small vehicle for two passengers and 400 kg of load, developed by the IPEI (Instituto de Pesquisas e Estudos Industriais; in English: Institute of Research and Industrial Studies), attached to the Jesuit Faculty of Industrial Engineering at São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo. The CB400 engine was converted to burn alcohol and produced 40 hp. The design and structural calculations of the body were done on computer software, and it was molded in composite epoxy and kevlar. In 1987, the Cauré had its motorcycle mechanics replaced with a VW Gol 1.6 engine, and the prototype was renamed Cérbero.
