Who knows this buggy?

Is it based on a VW 'Bay Window' Transporter?

grobmotorix

I think it is based on a standard Volkswagen Beetle chassis, that was not shortened.

It is the Ledl Jagd-Buggy.

grobmotorix

Yes! It was also distributed as the Koch Buggy in Germany/Bad Homburg.

Wendax

Didn't know that. I just had the Ledl lined up as a puzzle myself.  :D

Hi Wendax,

In the advert does it say if the buggy has a Transporter chassis?

The reason I ask is that (a) the wheelbase looks a bit longer than a standard Beetle's and (b) the rear wheels don't seem to have the usual Beetle positive camber, made even more pronounced when a lighter buggy body is attached to a Beetle chassis. The Transporter, as you know, has a beautifully sanitary rear suspension design.

Just interested.

I can see your point, but unfortunately it doesn't say in the advert. Other sources speak of a not shortened VW Beetle chassis.

Another photo with the missed positive camber:

If I compare the front and rear wheels on both photos I CAN see a difference.

Unfortunately they just spoke about a Volkswagen chassis - however I am still very sure it was one of a beetle:
