There was a brief discussion about this matter, but there was a feeling this might lead to posting unsolvable puzzles. Furthermore, why should a puzzle setter give hints then?

I've slightly lost track of things since the revised AP system was introduced, but am I right in thinking that the setter of a Black Hole puzzle that has not been solved for one year or more is now also awarded puzzles, or did I just dream this?

I think someone did suggest it but nothing has been introduced to that effect (assuming you meant "is now also awarded points, or did I just dream this?")
