What is this car?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

I feel I'm almost cheating to answer this as I own the car! It's currently known as the Wolseley Aerees Special but has previously been called Aerees 1 and (mistakenly) Aries 1. It has a 6 cylinder Wolseley Hornet Special engine and gearbox in a modified Fiat 500A Topolino chassis and was built in its current form in 1946.

Is this an Auto Puzzles first?? I really can't argue with anything you've said, given the circumstances. My source (an internet photostream which as we all know cannot be doubted  ;D) claimed that it's from 1934 and spells it Aeres. Presumably the date refers to the original engine or the chassis.

A very easy point for you. I usually say "well solved" but that would be a bit irrelevant!
