Yes. Actually I've got it as the Coppa Citta di Palermo in 1950, but it may be the same race. (My Italian is very basic).

The same pic is in Curami's book and the answer is handwritten on it ;)
But I was not correct... the "Parco della Favorita" was the circuit and the Coppa Citta di Palermo was the race.

Thanks for the info. I deleted the caption from the puzzle photo, and then forgot what it was! You would have given me the correct answer anyway, so there's no point in being pedantic.
