That's interesting. My source said 1947, but I couldn't find any other information about the car.

Here is a period photo of the car. The French-language websites show the name of the builder as Jean Galy, not Gali.

His name is written Gali on his racing license.

Thanks oko94. I shall amend the puzzle title. Amazing - I saw it spelt Galy on 2 different sites!

Galy surname is usually written with a "y" in French, that explains the common mistake.
