Porsche 959 Roadster - built from a 1987 959 that was rolled over, the owner decided to make it into a speedster instead of repair it to the original spec.

That's certainly what the builder wanted it to look like, but it's not even a Porsche.

959 replica, obviously.  Something about the windshield makes me want to guess 1st gen Miata, but the size of the area between the door and rear wheel well is telling me that's probably not it, but I'm going to throw it out there.  ??

There is only one Porsche 959 Speedster which, further to an accident and barrels, was transformed into version convertible. It is about Porsche 959 of 1987, belonging to German which had to make a decision to continue to make it run further to this damage.
During the repairs, he decided to make a unique and original model by transforming it into discoverable version: 959 Speedster
But I do not find the name of the person which realized this realization

I have found a datasheet in my collection of the VW-based 1988 Scheib H1 Cabrio. I think, it was presented at IAA Frankfurt 1987.
