Andrè Dubonnet, owner of the Dubonnet firm, was also a pilot and was born in 1897. In 1933 he built in Courbevoie a 4-door saloon, with independant suspensions on each wheel and an Hispano-Suiza 6-cyl engine. In 1936 he presented the Dolphin, whit a teardrop body, 4-door, and a Ford V-8, 3600cc 90hp at 3600rpm in the middle. This car made a speed test in Montlhéry, where it made a lap at the average speed of 174,4 km\h, but it remain a one-off.
