The first drawings of the Mauser Einspurauto showed a car without the front radiator. Is it this one?

No Mauser connection as far as I know.

But it is also from Germany.

I really hope to find out more about it.

Its designation is clearly written on its front side, which I have photoshoped, of course  ;)

The photo must have shot during ca. 1919-1925.

That´s all I can do to help.

Well, that was a shot in the dark, an educated guess though. Reinhold Böhm, inventor of the first version of the Mauser Einspurauto, was airplane pilot for the Albatros company.

What might be close? Albatrace?

O.K.

I give you three more tries, because you´re definitly on the right track.

The first half of the name is correct, the second half is absolutely manageable...

Albatrace

Albatros

But AlbaXXXXX

YES!

Now I really try to find out more.

Unfortunately I did not find any trace so far, despite the fact that the licence plate is from pre-war Brandenburg... :P

Reinhold Böhm had his company at Berlin-Johannisthal airport, so the location is another evidence for the assumption that this was a predecessor of the Mauser Einspurauto.

Well, maybe this Mauser prototype from 1921 was the next step?
It shares the same mechanic principle to activate the side wheels with the Albamobil...
I found this photo some weeks ago - this prototype was also completely unknown to me before:

Yes, I think so. That is the Mauser I referred to in my first post:

Yes - this is obviously the same design.

Now we have a kind of a logical chain!

That´s why I really love AutoPuzzles
