Probably too well known, but how about Vince Gardner?

Let's try to narrow the field a bit.  Did the designer we are looking for work for Raymond Loewy at one time?

I'll have to look that up tonight, but I think rather not.

Edit: I couldn't find any connection to Loewy.

Regardless of whether the model shown is for a big name manufacturer, did this designer work for a big name manufacturer(s) (not limited to today's three big name manufacturers)?

Yes, he worked for two of the Big Three and at least two other US manufacturers.

Is this George W. Walker who worked for Ford and General Motors, as well as Graham-Paige and Peerless?

Is this Joe Oros (or one of his contemporaries - born about 1920) who worked primarily for Ford, but also for General Motors and Nash?

The man in question is a contemporary of Joe Oros and he worked for Ford, but not for GM or Nash.

Is this Elwood Engel, a contemporary and friend of Joe Oros, who worked for Ford and Chrysler (I have no reference regarding work for any non "big three" companies)?
