Seem to think it is a Ferrari prototype from the 80's-90's.

As it looks like a saloon is it the production version of the Ferrari Pinin that was subsequently cancelled.

I saw the original photo in car magazine in the mid 1980's but cannot remember what it was called.Have to see if I still have the edition.

I would have been incorrect anyway - I would have guessed it as a mule for the original 365GT4 2+2, not the 400 or 412. Didn't know they considered a four-door version.  Oh, well.
