Yes, at the moment the engine of the quiz car was produced, this brand belonged to BMC.

1968 Ventury Tornado.

How on earth did you get to be a Professional with 0 points?!
I note you've been a member for 6 years but I can't say I recognise your name.
Have you changed it?  Do we know you as someone else?  Or did you reach 200 points and have somehow lost them?

Quite strange indeed....I'll wait for this mistery to be solved, before answering.

When you look at his profile, he's not tagged as a Professional but he has a Custom Title attribute whose value is Professional.

If you search all Pro users, he doesn't appear in the result list.

Yes, I did do that and saw he is not a member of a Primary Group so should just appear as 'Auto Puzzler' (which is what it says when you're a Rookie) but even if he has given himself the title Professional it shouldn't appear in that position!

Odd indeed; you will also notice he joined in April 2009 but this is his first post!  Maybe he just pops in and out from time to time..
A good solve though!

Edit:
OK, I've been into his profile and taken out the 'Professional' as it was somewhat confusing.
He's back to being a Rookie now and on his way to his first point!
I was wrong to say it should just say 'Auto Puzzler' on the status line however; as a Rookie that line would be just be empty, so I've written in 'Auto Puzzler'.

I've been looking into his profile too but couldn't understand what happened...6 years for a 1st post is indeed strange but probably he was going to be 100% sure before posting   ;D

Welcome to Autopuzzles Gte4289...finally!

I hope we won't have to wait six years for his next replay....Ventury Tornado is correct; Locked for Gte4289 to add the name of its maker.

It was built by Wally Vorlaufer.

This was my first post, by the way, and so I apologize if I've broken any forum rules. Am I not allowed to solve "Professional" level puzzles until I've proven myself by solving easier puzzles? I joined many years ago, but never got around to participating until yesterday.

Of course not and again, welcome to Autopuzzles.
You did nothing wrong and the only question we had was why your status (that is written below your name, where now you can read 'Auto Puzzler') was 'Professional'. You acquire that status once you solve more than 200 puzzles and is up to admins to award it. In your case you've been promoted Professional after your 1st post!

The CJ number plate suggests the car is from Paarl not to far from Cape Town.
