According to a well known automobile auction house, this is a: circa 1901 Laperrelle Rear-Entrance Tonneau with bodywork by the French firm Pellerin.  However, the advertisement states that nothing is known about either the French manufacturer or the coachbuilder, and I have been unable to find anything on the internet as well, so I have no confirmation as to whether the information is accurate.

It is well about a laparrelle. I have in fact 2 sources which shows a photo of the car and which have the same legend on the vehicle. One on the net, the other one in a magazine (but I am on that it based itself on this auction), which just gives the name and the year. It is true that with all my encyclopediae on the automobile marks as well as my numerous magazines and deliver, I have for you no information about this builder.  But the point is for you.

Apparently a repost, so point awarded and merged. Heading is changed. I have now seen an original, period pic of the car. Hopefully I can post it soon.

Laparrelle is a typo, should be Laperrelle:
