Yes.
(modern) license plate is not and the name doesn't sound German. I am not 100% sure, but I think it's not from there.

It is indeed a Fiat 500 MM Sport. Who built it? The name doesn't seem to be Italian, but if I have to guess, I'll bet it is.

It seems to me that was bodied by Gilco the name of the company of Gilberto Coombo that started building aluminum sport cars in 1948 based in Fiat platforms.

I have a name written on the car in many pictures from the several events it took part at. I don't know if it has a Gilco chassis but I don't think it has a Gilco body. For what I know they built just chassis.
