I have a model's name, builder's name, engine and a year.
This car is featured in many websites.
I'd like to know something more about for 1 point.

Well, I can tell you it's the Adro Special, supposedly built in 1938 (I'll need to check) and it's powered by a 998cc JAP with an inlet-over-exhaust homebuilt conversion.

What else do you need?

PS It was indeed 1938, the engine size should be 980cc, and it was based on a GN chassis. As you have said, it's featured quite extensively on the internet, but sadly only on photo image sites, so details are sparse.

PPS The present owner/driver is Colin Rodgers. I have checked the archives of two very well-known internet sites which would be interested in this type of car, and there were zero returns. It has become fashionable in these days for enthusiastic vintage car racers to construct new vehicles from old parts in the spirit of racing in the 1930s. Nothing wrong with that, they're all great fun, especially the aero-engined cars - I'm beginning to wonder if Mr. Rodgers himself built this car from a 1938 Frazer Nash or 1938 JAP motor.

He may need to know that its chassis is a GN and the wheels (and front brakes?) are Austin 7.
That looks like a sidevalve JAP to me, as the heads don't seem modified.

That is what I found too...but there's more. I'd like to know not only the more I already now (not much but a significant detail) but also a minimum of background for it...

The missing part that I know is not obscure...it's the full name of the builder X.X. XXXXXXXX.

Not that. I think the 'Adro' name is somehow related to this name.
The source of this name is very, very solid

While I was looking for more info about it online, just googling the info I knew (the one we all know now) I found that name. That source is as reliable as the one who reports the 'Adro' name (hint hint).

I hadn't really thought to read any captions to the photostream pictures. Normally there's nothing worth reading, since the images are often taken by people who are not really diehard enthusiasts. I've learned a lesson. It was John Anderson BTW.

I must confess I missed that caption, and I did read all I found!
BTW, John Anderson is correct of course (and even more than what I knew).
Here it is my 'source'.
I couldn't find any background for it and I was wondering if it was in any way related to another J. Anderson, (James Anderson) from Glasgow, builder of some Austin based specials.
I asked for something more than what I knew and Nicanary told me some more info (GN chassis, owner and so on).
