I found a couple of pics in an old Motor issue.
I found that card too (it's still for sale, I think) but I didn't know him before!

Curious! The Fiat 600 was rear engined, admittedly water cooled. Was this an attempt to make it look like a conventional car with front engine and radiator perhaps?

May be this was an attempt, trying to let the car look more grown up. Think about the Volkswagen-Beetle with Rolls-Royce-grille. But a high fake-radiator grille enlarges the small luggage compartment heavily too.
