The cars in the background suggest this may be Australian - that's definitely a Standard Vanguard 'Ute' from the late 1950s directly behind the puzzle car.

You are correct, sir. The puzzle car also sports Australian licence plates, which is a bit of a giveaway.

Absolutely. As I hinted before, parts of the bodywork may have been from a proprietary shell, but the chassis and engine combination is a one-off.

I am amazed at how many of my photos finish up on this site.
The picture was taken by Kevin Drage at a very wet Warwick Farm in 1960 and his photographic archive was purchased by myself in 2014 including all copyright, any use of the photo needs to be credited as  "Terry McGrath Motoring Archives: Kevin Drage photo"
Kevin's original caption on his transparency notes "Warwick Farm 1960 K Malcolm Skoden"
The rego Number is NSW [BMC307]

My apologies if any copyright has been infringed. IMO when photo images appear on Google they become in effect public property.

Anyhoo - there's no point in asking you to elucidate. The answer is there for all to see, and of course it's Keith Malcolm's Skoden, a Holden engine in a Skoda chassis, presumably an early Felicia. The body seems to have been based on a Microplas shell.

You get the point, even if it's in unusual circumstances.

(PS Is that screen from a Healey 100?)

Thanks for the link. You had already advised me that this car had been part of a group puzzle in the past, but I'd forgotten. All too common these days - it'll probably get worse.

Protests and demonstrations in Ulster tonight. Batten down the hatches. I have a feeling I'll be going home early from work.
