It's LHD, which made me think it could be an American rebody of a British chassis, but that's a Renault Trafic/Master van parked beside it.

I left the TraficMaster in to confuse those who might think it's French, especially in view of the LHD!

Basically the same car but with a change of name once Ginetta was established by the Walklett brothers.

M-Reg would indicate 1973, but why the LHD?. And why so late after the GRP boom?

The only reason for an M-reg would be that it was re-imported to the UK from whichever LHD market it had been sold to before (USA?) and proof of the original build-date was unvailable. Later on it would receive a Q-reg but maybe they hadn't quite been invented yet back in 1974 (from when the M-reg dates).

I got my picture from another site where it was unequivocal that this was a G3; I specifically went looking for one that was a Ginetta and not a Fairlite! Maybe the single-piece screen is the identifying factor?

I'd forgotten you were the "platemeister" of AP! I thought it would have been age-related. Not important, anyway.
