Found the car as a BMW 328 Spesial built in 1954.

Was Atle Hoff involved ?

Okay, I now have the complete history. It is not based on a 328, but it had a 328 engine! But it is BMW based. 1954 is almost right. Atle Hoff was not involved. Still locked for another attempt

I've browsed countless sites about cars in Norway and I haven't been able to find further information about this car. Was it built in 1953 by some Norwegian guy that was also known for other cars ?

Well, this is AutoPuzzles where sometimes challenges occur :) :)

So far I found only one site which describes the car. The builder is not well known.

Unlocked.

In 1954 Peter von Tangen wanted something he could race, as he was not allowed to import a car he took a 1939 BMW 329 chassis, a 328 engine and the sketch of a light body to Cato Eriksen at Erko Car. The bodywork was made by N. Jacobsen from Oslo.
