I have more on this:
Ford special Racer "Jaws" 1934
This road was built by Gunnar "Persbergarn" Carlsson in 1949.
It was the first racing car Persbergarn ´ and it was built by a Ford 1934 in Filipstad in 1949.
The engine is a V8 on 150 horsepower and bodywork in aluminium.
It competed in Djurgårdsteatern and race-Grand Prix Helsinki-49, the Stockholm Grand Prix Skarpnäck 1949, Gardedemoen-Grand Prix Norway in 1949. The car is owned today by Anders Åslund
I have the name "Hajen".
It was a car that runs in the group "Nordic Special" which was one of the most popular classes shortly after the war. It was initially a 1934 Ford cabriolet. in 1949, was built on to the race car and had a new bodywork in aluminium of Filipstad Engine Workshop. The young Gunnar "Persbergarn" Carlsson was 20 years old at the time and he would represent the Swedish national team at Djurgården race in Finland. In the competition were he in second place with the car, when he unfortunately was forced to break. He drove in Skarpnäck and Gardemoen same year before he bought the "Snövit". Bertil Nilsson purchased the car and he drove it to Gelleråsbanan in Karlskoga in 1950. Last entry found on your car's history is from 1953. Today the car is owned by the Anders Åslund from Linköping. He found the car of Rolf Nyström who owns the "Snövit". Some young people had intended to build a hot-rod of the old are in a queue, but when Nyström informed them about the car's history as undone, they, thankfully. They began a renovation, but got tired after a while. Anders bought the car two years ago and has now been in good operating condition. -It is not the original engine sitting in, but a similar engine, a side valve V8 on 110 horses. I will renovate the original engine eventually, sa Åslund who is keen to learn more about the car's history. The car still have orignallacken left and to take a closer look at the car is like a time warp 60 years back in time
