1955 Goldmanini ,Michelotti design body built by Motto, tuned Fiat 1100 power ,assembled in USA by racer Max Goldman , displayed at Henry Ford museum in 56 ,dismantled soon after until 2011 , restoration recently finished ,very nice car !

That's right.  It's odd that this pretty little car has been virtually unknown its entire life until rediscovered recently and restored.
Although it was built for Group C racing in the US I don't think it ever actually took part in any races at all!
It was restored in the UK recently and its first outing was at the Salon Privé, where it got a special award.

I found the car when I was looking for Wendax's little US MG puzzle and couldn't believe it was so unknown; I even wondered if it was a practical joke but when I looked into it I found the story.  Since then it's had lots of publicity and has featured in the two major British classic car magazines, so what I originally thought was going to be a very difficult puzzle in fact turned into a very easy one in the space of a few weeks!

The man in the puzzle picture with the car is of course Max Goldman himself.
