« on: July 24, 2015, 08:41:21 AM »
Looks familiar?  The answer isn't quite as straightforward as it might seem though.

Tell me exactly what this is for 1 point.

Falcon Peregrine?

Basically yes, but it's not quite as simple as that!
Locked for you to see if you can find out EXACTLY what this model is!

OK, the easy bit is found but still need the hard bit for a point..
Open to all Rookies and Experts again.
Although this particular photo is the one they seemed to use for all Peregrine publicity it's one particular use I'm looking for..

This one's going to have to be sorted out by the Professionals then.
Remember, it's already established that the picture is of a Falcon Peregrine, in fact a picture which crops up regularly with slightly varying descriptions; it must be the only promotional shot they had..

But what I want to know is the context of the particular picture from which this is extracted; what were they calling it?

Is Falcon 1000 what you're looking for?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

I've read that the Peregrine was called "1000" first, is that what you're looking for ?

You're both right up to a point, as in fact it wasn't called a Falcon at all but the Peregrine 1000.
To sort out who gets the point then, which of nicanary and oko94 can tell me what else the ad said about the car and which market it was aimed at?

The world's most exciting small capacity sports car ( :lmao:) $2685 on the Eastern Seaboard. I'd say it was intended for the US market.

Exactly!
A little bit of poetic licence I believe.. (no rules about adverts in those days!)
Well done.
