Standard 10 underneath?

To be honest, I don't know much about the underpinnings, but I'm fairly confident there's no Standard involvement.

The wheels look like those used by Singer for their saloons of the 30s/40s but the carbs are the wrong side for that.
Perhaps it's Morris/MG-engined.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

And that's my problem - all I know about the car is its name, and the names of two of the owners. I wish I could help more, but there's nothing else on the 'net.

There's something a bit Riley-ish about it. Might there be some Riley content ?

It could very well be so, but I really don't know. As I have posted previously, all I know is the name of the car and who built it. It's one of those puzzles which could take a long time to solve, unless you get lucky.

I will say this - the photo is available on the internet.

I'm not sure, but is the car shown in the picture below the puzzle car?  If so, it is the Arklay Special (front engine 1087 cc - perhaps a Ford engine), driven by W. H. Arklay at Goodwood in 1954.

How do you do this??  Another one I thought would last much longer. Correct, and another well-deserved point.

I can find nothing more about the car.  It was built in 1954 by W.Arklay and when this image was taken it was owned by Mike Espezel. I suspect that the engine size would lead us to a Riley 9hp motor, but have no proof.

It looks an awful lot like a Buckler, but I have checked a certain site, and it does not appear there, and anyway it would almost certainly have a Ford engine if that was the case.
