But I would be happy to give up the point to iani, as it was the info contained in his guesses that enabled me to find it. A guy named Tony Stanton from the Rochdale Owners' Club confirms in the thread that the car is made up from the parts iani mentions in his Feb16 post, plus a Lea Francis engine. It's from 1956.

Is it "Leafson TVR GT", as described by the photo's OP on that site? (I took that to be someone just misspelling Lea-Francis)

That's right, it was known as the Leafson TVR GT; what happened to it I have no idea but I doubt it still exists. The engine was a 2.1/2 litre Lea-Francis.
